The terracare label is the initiative of the Heinen leather factory based in Wegberg in the Rhine region and stands for comprehensive environmentally-friendly leather production.

The fully-integrated tannery from which RICOSTA has been sourcing leather for its children's shoes for over 30 years demonstrably produces in Germany using ecologically and socially compatible methods.

In October 1998 Irmi Wette founded the Konstanzer Puppenbühne (www.konstanzer-puppenbuehne.de). The educator produces all puppets herself, she writes the plays, builds the set design and is responsible for music, sound and light.

Since 2008 RICOSTA is sponsor and supporter of the Konstanzer Puppenbühne, which is meanwhile known very well in the whole Baden-Württemberg and in neighbour countries. The play "Pfoten weg" deals among other things with the difficult subject of child molestation.
